The Big 3

  1. Do what's right.
  2. Do your best.
  3. Treat others the way you want to be treated.

The Big 3 are defined and applied to each setting of the school in the Hawk Expectations.

We believe that the The Big Three are expectations that will guide all members of our school community to perform to their fullest potential. The Big Three are a continual focus for all of us at Horizon Academy. Students are expected to exhibit these expectations in the classroom, in the media center, in the gym, in the cafeteria, in the hallway, and on the bus.

The staff and administration of Horizon Academy are proud to implement the Positive Behavior Support (PBS) program. Through this program, students are recognized for following the expectations of The Big Three, using our unique House System. Fifth grade students are able to earn a token, a Hawk Eye, for being spied demonstrating appropriate behavior. The Hawk Eyes can be redeemed for a variety of activities, events, and items.
